Flexible Drain for Floating Roof Tanks
Construction
The DFT FLEXIBLE DRAIN FOR FLOATING ROOF TANKS is made from a single piece (seamless), built with interlocked rings (interlocked type) in AISI 304 stainless steel.
The external coating in extruded Polyamide 11 guarantees total watertightness and chemical resistance* between the stored product and the drained water and is designed to withstand all the stresses required in the process.
Its internal structure was carefully designed to meet the fatigue criteria required by standard (minimum of 7,500 cycles).
The balance between weight and rigidity (buoyancy) guarantees its geometric conformation in the defined curve throughout its working course, providing perfect operation without interference with other internal accessories of the tank and preventing the formation of stagnation points (siphoning) of rainwater inside it.
In full compliance with strict standards, especially N-270, the DFT is the epitome of reliability, safety and durability.
Regulation
Petrobrás N-270 – Atmospheric Tank Design
Petrobrás N-271 – Storage Tank Assembly
Petrobrás N-2913 – Painting Procedure
Hydrostatic Test
The DFT TSPRO has a minimum external pressure resistance of 392 kPa (4.0 bar) and an internal pressure resistance of 350 kPa (3.6 bar).
To ensure the secure attachment of the drain to the intake and side, we use ANSI B16.5 150lbs standard swivel flange terminals in ASTM A-105, with painting in accordance with standard N-2913
*Certified for this process and application with products that contain sulfur compounds and formation water.
